Summer 2019

My first internship was the summer before 11th grade at WHYY Media Lab, a film organization associated with Philadelphia’s public radio. As the only high school intern at WXPN, I wrote blogs for “The Key,” which improved my writing and audience engagement skills. I also worked on editing the Woodstock performance to remove explicit language, enhancing my appreciation for music history. Additionally, I curated a radio segment called “Soul Patrol,” showcasing African-American soul music and deepening my research abilities. This internship greatly influenced my passions in media.
